The price of cakes, and particularly novelty cakes, can sometimes be more than you might have had in mind initially. “Surely it can’t be that much – it’s just a cake!”. People often expect to pay a lot for a wedding cake (see video), but are surprised at the price they have been given for a novelty cake. Yet novelty cakes are often more difficult to make. A cake is a cake (a fine piece of art) for any occasion and I believe there should be no difference in price!

Prices are for a typical cake with standard decoration, but every cake is different so contact me to discuss your requirements: –

Small cakes
For a 6″ round cake (12 portions), prices start at £25. Add £5 for a sculpted cake.

Medium cakes
For an 8″ round cake (22 portions), prices start at £35. Add £7 for a sculpted cake.

Large cakes
For a 10″ round cake (36 portions), prices start at £45. Add £10 for a sculpted cake.

Extra large cakes
For a 10″ square cake (48 portions), prices start at £55. Add £12 for a sculpted cake.

Extra extra large cakes
For a 12″ square cake (64 portions), prices start at £75. Add £15 for a sculpted cake.

The price for standard cake decorations includes extras such as balloons, confetti (variety of cut out shapes). For all other decorations, such as sculpted figures and cake toppers, there will be an additional charge.

For a 3″ sculpted human figure, prices start at £10.

For animal figures, toys etc, prices start at £3.

For a fountain cake topper, prices start at £5, and depend on the number and complexity of sprays required.

Cake boards are finished with coordinating plain colored ribbon as standard. Any additional titivation (e.g feather boas, extra ribbons etc) will be charged at cost price (what I pay, you pay).

Fairy cakes start at £1.25 each.
